Not All Essential Oils are of Good Quality
I’m assuming you already knew that because there are high quality and low quality products in every field. The reason it’s important for you to think about that with essential oils is that some manufacturers dilute their essential oils with toxic oils. I use Young Living Essential Oils which are manufactured to ISO certification standards. I take them internally BUT YOU JUST CAN’T DO THAT WITH EVERY OIL. So use your brain and check the quality of oils you’re using.
FTC Required Disclosure
The FTC is trying to protect United States citizens by having all bloggers disclose any affiliations with companies they mention on their blog. Affiliations meaning they profit in some way by their association with the company. I’m very opinionated on this subject and want you to know just a little bit about how I feel:
1. The FTC will fail in protecting idiots no matter what laws they create.
2. The rest of us don’t need the FTC to protect us because we understand that:
a. if you buy something, SOMEONE makes a profit. (I personally don’t care who makes the profit as long as I get the product or service I want at the price I’m willing to pay for it.)
b. it’s smart to buy things with a money back guarantee.
c. it’s not too hard to figure out which people on the internet are liars.
I could go on and on but let me just get to my disclosure. I am a Young Living Essential Oils Independent Distributor. It’s not my main business which is Energy Wellness Consulting, but I recommend Young Living oils over any other essential oil and use them myself every day. If you click through to my Young Living site, open a retail or wholesale account and make purchases, I will profit from it.
I’m Not Perfect
I bet this disclosure is really shocking to you! My point in including it is – Don’t blame the company, Young Living Essential Oils, if I get my facts wrong. I try very hard to verify facts, but much of what I’m curious about and want to share with readers is the results obtained by the average user of essential oils. Those are never scientifically documented. You might want to know that I believe science as we understand it has its limits – just think how long mankind survived and learned to get by in the world before we had to have scientific proof for every little thing.
That’s all the disclosures for now. I’ll update these and add some more legal sounding language later and add any more as laws change or I find out about more requirements.
